The Dogwood Endless Summer Bash I & II

After a 2300 mile journey in August, it was nice to only drive up to GA for the Sept trial, "The Endless Summer Trial"- we brought a few more this trip: Dash finished off that nail that keeps breaking in the box, but it was out and not bothering him, he went Chap Under Adult Racing both days, and a nice surprise, Reserve GTG on Sunday. Mac got his first taste of racing-I had him sit out the river of rain on Sat, but on Sunday, he managed to take 2nds in both flats/hurdles. He also got a taste of GTG, taking 1st in pre novice on Sat and 2nd on Sunday-he tried to take the "short way around!!" Spice was 1st in Suitability to Red Fox both days with a nice compliment from the judge on Sunday. All of our terriers worked hard and played hard but truly what I was most pleased with was that on Sunday we did Super Earth with both Spice and Cayman-and they didn't disappoint; Spice pulled a 2nd, and Cayman right behind her with a 3rd. Even though all were tired, they showed that terrier spirit to find and get to the rat....our thanks to all of the trial chairs, workers, judges-it was a great way to finish off the summer....and now its hard to believe that Nationals is only 34 days away.
