Williston Trial and the Yuletide Trial 2006

For the Nov Williston, Fl trial, Dash who had once again injured his foot, was Res. racing Champion, on Saturday and was just too sore to race on Sunday. Both Cayman and Spice did well in Super Earth, 3rd and 4th and Mac (Canis Major Maximus)  was 3rd in flats/hurdles, 1st in open puppy GTG, and Best Dog pup.  On Sunday, Mac again raced 3rd against some tough Fl dogs, was Puppy GTG Champion AND received the award for Puppy conformation Champion!!!              On Sunday, Dash did GTG and was 3rd, Cayman was ready for Super Earth and was Res. CHAMPION .............Little Spice was on a plane headed to Canis Major for her honeymoon with Sirius A great weekend, and great friends....In Dec at Yuletide, we had a lot of terrier friends from up north to party with on Friday night and to compete with for the weekend....Dash had had surgery, so this was the time to see if it had worked, and it did....hopefully no more hopping around on 3 legs, he came out with a vengeance and was racing Champion both Sat/Sun, this time Mac was fired up as well, he gave it his all, and received Res. racing Champion, and Res. in the conformation ring in Puppy conformation,....Cayman was distracted in GTG by that very good looking northern guy Vinnie, she much preferred him over the rat, but redeemed herself in Super Earth again.....this is always a relaxing, fun trial with both our friends from Fl and folks from the mid west, and the New England states.........and now we all turn our attention to Christmas and relaxing for a while with friends, family and of course our terriers. Looking Back at 2006:  Dash is THE MAN....he had 18 Champion/Res. titles in Racing, including the Nationals Under Racing champion and once again claimed the sweepstakes race for the 4th time @ Nationals. In GTG-6 Champion/or Res. Titles, 3 time Champion in Super Earth and was again awarded a special award , the Florida's Finest Performance Champion for unders...what a guy.....and he is my hospice companion to patients on his "off days"...Chase, who now lives in VA, in racing: always #2 to Dash, consistently, but when we haven't had Dash, he was first and claimed a racing Championship also. He consistently won 1st in Suitability to Red Fox and was first in Open R&B Terriers 3 times before he moved north. Due to an puppy injury, Jag didn't start racing until he was almost 6 mos., in his first trial he was 3rd in both flats/hurdles but then the light bulb turned on and there was no stopping him, from then on he was Puppy Racing Champion at every trial, bringing home 8 racing Championships....it was a great trip to Sunny Hills in NY state to finish out a perfect run for him, now at 12and 5/8" he can't always compete with the big guys, but he tries, when we have raced him in the overs, he still makes it to the finals, I think that says a lot about his will, desire and I thank his Sow's Ear roots for that.....Jag also did well getting some firsts in Barn Hunt, and GTG. Jag will now get out in the field and help us make some nice Under racers.....In 2006 we introduced Canis Major Maximus, Mac- what a treat he has been, His first trial was the 23hr road trip to NY, he really was unsure of himself, but received a 5th on Sat against some of the best dog pups in the country, and a 3rd on Sunday...ahh, he was beginning to "get it!" From then on, he has received 5 Champion   or Res. in conformation, firsts in Novice, Open and then Puppy champion in GTG, and is doing so well in racing, always either a champion, reserve or never less than a 3rd....he is a all round kind of guy....and a treat to be with...we will skip any trials in Jan, concentrating on puppies, but then Mac will have 2 more trials to finish out his puppy yr. Our girls, Spice/Cayman have been really consistent as well, Spice taking over for Chase in Suitability to Red Fox, took many firsts, and always does well in GTG, and Super Earth, but the little huntress Cayman dives into the GTG and Super Earth, often getting a Res. in Super Earth, both will be out in the field somehow in 2007. Also for our Sassy girl, who can be seen on the terriers for sale page, she has become so sweet and loving, and smokes the others in the lure course, and even pulled a Res. in Barn hunt up in the Carolinas....so Tally Ho from Tally Hills its been quite a year!!!!!
